Fashion Emergence

It’s hard to mention who really did it first. Which brand actually started it all off. Which clothing brand started the revolution of fashion wear? Stores such as Zara, Topman and River Island have taken it upon themselves to distribute high end consumer fashion wear and we must be thankful for that. This is why the emergence of fashion has been so substantial.
Effect of Recession on Fashion Wear Being associated with anything cheap is usually a bad thing but these days it is anything but. With the recession and most people finding it harder to make ends meet it is no surprise that a number of people have decided to spend a lot less on their clothing choices. Clothing retailers such as H&M and Primark specialise in supplying cheaper fashion wear for a snippet of the price. This d does not mean they are of less quality. This simply means that they are being sold for less. There is an old adage ‘you get what you pay for’ which is slightly true in the latest fashion trends but for a number retailers it is simply about giving their target market a better chance of buying the best consumer goods. The target market of retailers such as Primark would be young teens that want cheap and quality fashion. Difference between fake and imitation But there is a chasm of difference between fake fashion wear and cheap copies. A cheap imitation is basically the cheapest version you can get of a latest fashion trend. For example if you wanted a brand new Converse shoe, you could find the almost the exact same converse being sold at the market for about half the price. A fake fashion wear item is a completely fake piece of design. For example you would buy a Nike Tracksuit and instead of the famous Nike tick you would see a cross. And instead of ‘Nike’ you would see ‘Niko’. These fakes are especially common in places like China where you can find a plethora of fake imitations. The emergence of the latest fashion trends in this recession has increased the amount of counterfeit imitations on the market. Sellers have realized that people have less money but still want to pertain to modern fashion ideals. But the biggest problem with wearing fakes is that it is not real (obviously). If you a re wearing a fake and you are caught, it really is embarrassing. It basically confirms your ‘cheap’ status. In some cases it is wiser to buy clothing that is less expensive than to buy expensive fashion wear that is not exactly the cheapest. This quite simply shows how easy fashion has changed the way we think. People still want the most upscale fashion and even though there is a recession they are willing to pay over-the-odds to get them.
